I decided to prime the canvas green. The fabric of existence shines through here and there (you see the linen structure). Green is the colour of the heart chakra, and it is the colour that symbolises life.

There are two golden hearts, poles, entities, flowing into one another. It is this connection which brings the whole little universe of the painting to life. The gold we find in this connection is life itself - and it is contagious! Touch the smallest and you will be infected with its gold.

The gold is both fragile and stubborn. Once you touch it, it is hard to remove – it will stay forever, somewhere. Maybe under your sofa. Maybe on your cheekbone. Maybe you more or less accidentally swallow a flake. But even if you don’t see it for some time, the gold is there and will always be there.
