"I believe that the main thing is life is giving and receiving. It is a cycle, life is this cycle. You need to approach other people with an open heart and open mind. Travel, be open for new perspectives, for exchange - this is how you connect with the people on this planet. This is why I am neither greedy nor frugal – you give, you receive. A stupid example, but so true – ", she laughed: "Cigarettes. The number of cigarettes I have already given aways, I don’t even know how many, but I also have received so many cigarettes already – once, I even found a whole package!"

She continued: "I like people, and I love living. I understand that you can also have bad experiences with giving and taking, and I am aware that I am talking from a privileged point of view, but I still believe in this. I am very grateful to have so many people supporting me."

Marie’s smallest shows this cycle, inspired by the materials and colour palette she uses in her own paintings (she is an artist, too). I realised we both used the same gold flakes…
